Overview
The Documentary Services Division of the Marin County Sheriff's Office is located on the first floor of the Marin County Civic Center in Room 145. Included in this division are the Civil, Records, and Warrants Divisions. Our primary functions relate to receiving, maintaining, and processing legal documents. We work closely with the public, other law enforcement agencies, and our judicial counterparts as prescribed by law.
The Civil Division provides a full range of Civil services relating to service of process and enforcement of judgment. The Records Division processes and maintains crime and incident reports, as well as custodial records for the County of Marin. The Records Division releases records as allowed by law; issues "Good Conduct" letters, registers Narcotic and Arson Offenders, and provides Fingerprint/Live Scan services. The Warrants Division maintains, verifies, and processes all warrants issued by the Marin County Superior Court.
